You are right DX can be just about anywhere. But if the DX knows they can
be heard between 50100 and 50125 they are more than like going to start
there and move up the band as it gets crowded. I'm not saying don't
transmit. I'm merely pointing out 50100-50125 is a safe haven for the DX to
start out and to be heard if US stations don't QSO other US stations there.
I appreciate all who respect the DX Window.

I disagree. The DX window (50100-50125) is a terrific idea and everyone
should respect that window. Same thing with the US national calling
frequency 50125. You may not hear DX in the DX window and may very well be
interfering with those who do or could. Just because you can't hear it
doesn't mean it isn't there.

Truth of the matter is There may be DX in the area between 50.125 and as
high as 50.245 ( I worked a European at 50.245 ). So should I just not
transmitt because there may be someone there that I can't hear? That is
about the jest of what you are saying, when the E season gets in full swing
it is not uncommon to have several different band openings going at the same
time. Everybody is going to step on someone sometime (sounds like a song).

I for one don't think that the DX window is a terrific idea, but then again
I remember when there was no DX window at all. I do show respect for the
window, but I still don't think it is a good thing.

A goodthing is the DX loggers and the spots that are posted. That is the
best thing that has happened to Six Meters.
