South FL and TX seem to get more openings than I think anywhere else in the
US. Look how many times K2RTH/4 has 6M firsts from EL95. I also see W4SO and
others from EL96 posting spots they work all the time. Right now I see W4SO
just spotted he worked FM5JC a few moments ago.

Purely in my humble opinion, but 6 is so rarely open this far south (EL96)
that if I hear someone calling CQ on any frequency, I am minded to run the
QSO for fear that I could lose the contact by QSY'ing! But the amount of
openings are so small, I guess it doesn't really matter!
