Oops! To late! I whipped the J-pole back up using the rg6 this
afternoon. The run is less than 60ft. And the coax was free.....Zero,
Zip, Nada. Since we be workin short as of late, free won... I'll swap
it out at a later date. For now I just wanted to see if I could drag in
the Monday night net with the extra antenna height. I put down the 6m J
up in place of my 11m ground plane. 18ft is now 35ft. Probably 45 or
50 to the top of the antenna. The manuals to the old boat anchors I've
been playing with did'nt seem to care to much whether it was 75 ohm or
50. So I thought I'd get a few opinions before blundering off but then
the wind died down today and so I jumped right in blundering while the
blundering was good. :-)
As Allways
Thanks for the input!!!
