*** Nope, it wasn't the yellow one.  That's apparently one of the 
600-ohm
secondary leads.  Which now don't go anywhere, because the radio was 
modified
for a standard modular line cord.  Originally, the 600ohm outputs went 
to the
14-pin Centronics.

  There are two more wires that go in the correct general direction.  A 
black one
and a purple one.  Which one to cut?  It's like one of those movies 
where the hero
is disarming a bomb... Cut the purple wire!  The purple wire!  ( BOOM )

   I think I'll go steal a needle out of the XYL's sewing stuff.  Poke a 
tiny hole
in the insulation & ohm.
