[SignalOne] Panadapter!

All,

Just for yuks, I hooked up a homebrew SDR that I've been working on
to the "HI IF" socket
in the back of the CX7A. Set it to 39.7MHz and *poof* - instant
panadapter! With waterfall!

The SDR is a "T41-EP". It started out as a book by Jack Purdum,
W8TEE. There is an active group on groups.io.

One complication - due to subtractive mixing, the spectrum is shown
backwards. And the T41 can only display 192kHz worth of band.

The signal coming out of the CX7A is pretty robust on 40M, and I had
to set the T41 to full attenuation. Even with that, the signal is
excessively hot unless I detune the preselector. Much more reasonable on
20M. Guess there's just less microvolts up there.

                   - Jerry, KF6VB
