[SIERA] Amateur Radio Awareness Day

SNARS is going to considerable effort to put together an interesting and educational day for recognition of ARRL sponsoring September 17th as Amateur Radio Awareness Day.

An announcement was spread on our reflector a week or so ago, so you have the details.

Desiring to support SNARS in this effort, I'll be taking my Jeep to the park, with the equipment I have showing capability to operate for 72 hours "on my own".  Our magnetic signs will be on the Jeep and SNARS has graciously offered to place our banner on the side of the shelter.

There is also a Hamfest associated with the activities.  If anyone has excess radio items for sale, let me know.  I'll pick it up from you and do the best I can to get it sold.
