you live?  If you happen to be in the Chicago area you are in luck.  
There is a group located there called CARMA.  The Chicago Area Radio 
Monitoring Association and this is their web site.  
http://www.carmachicago.com/  If you are not in that part of the state 
you have the advantage of being a ham.  I started a weekly net for the 
discussion of scanning here in Pittsburgh and have found a lot of fellow 
scanner enthusiasts on the air.  In addition I give my email address out 
during the net and have found that there are a number of scanner 
listeners that follow the net and show up when we have a meeting.  Of 
course the Internet and mailing lists like this one are also 
invaluable.  Enjoy.
