Janea M. Little, president of the Audubon Society's Midland chapter, said
she's researched tower kills in other states.
"In firsthand accounts, people describe hearing hundreds and thousands of
birds giving distress calls up in the air, and the birds are falling from the sky
wounded or dead," Little said.
