The posting of information on social media is and can be an issue. But for a phone app to work someone has to steam the traffic onto the Internet. It’s the Internet streaming that most chiefs and sheriffs cite when they announce they are going to full encryption for officer safety. After 40 years in law enforcement I strenuously disagree with those positions but I also disagree with people streaming scanner radio traffic.
