My thanks to those who pointed me to the right freq (such as Eric Carlson,
et al) for the DHS helos.
The Omaha helos do indeed appear to operate on the "Air-1" channel, 168.8375
[$293], which was always encrypted as far as I could determine.
At least three Omaha helos were airborne simultaneously at times on Thursday
hovering in circles for hours at a time. Why? They also use 136.375
(thanks to Ron Perron) which they call the "Victor" freq. At least that is
not encrypted, yet.
I found a bunch of other, probably related, VHF freqs, but more than 95
percent were encrypted.
Any interesting finds otherwise?
Alan
