What's the biggest card a Home Patrol can recognize?

I have a couple of old Hewlett Packard desktop computers that have built-in drives that can read from and write to memory cards. I can't recall how many different types of cards the drives can handle, but it's a lot. My work computer does not have this ability, but I found some devices at a thrift store that plug into a USB port and permit read/write with memory cards. They're the earlier version of this:

The thrift store also had one of these. I didn't buy it, and I wish I had (assuming it worked). It takes a separate power supply, which is not hard to find.

I also discovered that you can take the microSD card out of the Home Patrol and do all the updating (even firmware updates) by plugging the chip directly into your PC,...
