Does Montgomery have to really dispatch that much apparatus? With the (fully staffed vis a vis MoCo's 3 to an engine) engines at NNMC and NIH plus NIH's truck/tower (can't remember which is where), plus what I am certain is a fact that every single guy staffing the EMS transport out of both of those houses is FF qualified (plus truck/tower qualified at NIH) can't the initial response and investigation be handled by the Federal guys without tying up an entire RID from 23/26/6/R1/maybe even 5?
I realize the Federal guys routinely run off base/campus to assist on MoCo dispatches (I actually think my apartment complex might technically be in 50's first due) but isn't there a threshold below which at least 50 and 51(which I often wonder about the logic of keeping as separate companies other than that one is a naval base) keep things "in the family," so to speak?
