[Scan-DC] Railfanning the Braddock Road Metro station

Last I heard, Metro said it would take years to put trunked radios in all of
the system's subway cars. Look in the cabin the next time you're on a
subway car and look for an Astro Spectra which may have been installed, at
least in the new cars.

What I hear now are patches from the VHF system onto the trunked system for
the Road (or as Metro says "Ops") channels.

As for 161.385, the old TPAS (Transit PD and Security) repeater, I have not
heard it used by the police for months. Sometimes what sounds like a subway
or yard crew comes on the channel, but it appears they selected the wrong
channel. So obviously some of the VHF radios are still in use.

Is anybody hearing TPAS simulcast still on 161.385? Perhaps it is my
location. But I no longer hear it in Takoma Park.

Alan
