About twenty or twenty-five years ago, there was an article inMonitoring
Times on how to use a VCR to record 5 or 6 MHz bandwidth at a time. They
printed a circuit that showed it in use to record a whole bunch of the SW
spectrum. Later, you could come back  and tune to whatever frequency you
wanted to hear. I still have the article. It's  "somewhere."
