Yeah, maybe it was about equipping planes rather than airports with wind shear detection... will have to do some research on that, I think I remember seeing a 60 Minutes or something like that years ago after a major accident involving wind shear. My new nephew-in-law is an Embraer pilot for Jet Blue, will have to ask him about it. I'm too much of a control freak to actually like flying - the 200-foot one must have raised some white knuckles. Phooey on that, that's what amusement parks are for!
