[Scan-DC] 9:54PM EST in suburban MD, Sonic boom or thunder?

I heard some booms here as well (due north of Westminster at the PA 
line). I looked out the windows to see what it was. Then a few 
minutes later there was some definite lightning. So I chalk the 
earlier booms to thunder as well. They (I think I heard two or so) 
certainly did sound odd, though.
