Another update on the Katrina HF comms.

Katrina HF Operations

The USCG is using their HF frequencies of  5696, 8983, 11202 USB for long 
distance comms. 11202 is the primary scene HF  frequency for daytime 
operations.
The Department of Homeland Security  Assets, USCG, and ICE are using the 
COTHEN network extensively for  comms.


US Government SHARES (Shared Resources) frequency assignments  for 
Katrina response (traffic is being handled and has been monitored on the  
primary frequencies):

14.396.5 - Primary national frequency  (day)
14.455.0 - Alternate national frequency (day)
7.632.0 - Primary  national frequency (night)
9.064.0 - Alternate national frequency  (night)
5.901.0 - Alternate national frequency (night)
3.216.0 - Primary  regional frequency (night)
3.361.0 - Alternate regional frequency  (night)
4.513.0 - Alternate regional frequency (night)
