Hi all; by now, some of you have received the 1204 edition of the Capitol Hill Monitors Newsletter. If you'd like to see what you're missing, check out the PDF version (you'll need the popular Adobe Acrobat reader) here:

http://henney.com/chm/chm.htm

In that issue, there's a long list of Combat Air Patrol frequencies. While the file is out on our ARC250 links page at:

http://henney.com/chm/files/ARCbackup/index.htm

the bank layout shown is not quite right. Here's the correct layout:
- VHF LO/Hi Milair
- UHF Milair
- Have Quick
- Old VHF Milair
- Old UHF Milair
- Bank: 6 thru 10; empty

The 'old' banks are exactly what they say they are; old freqs not reported in quite a while. If you have noticed lately, there has been a huge upswing in CAP training and flights; and a few old frequencies have suddenly come alive. You never know when this is going to happen.

The file is current to Xmas - however, a few things have changed and came up since then.  These come from Scan-DC and Milcom; please add them as needed;

[from Mike F. - Tiger frequencies from last summer]:
VHF[133.8(TWR),138.0(V18),138.025(V1),138.1(V17),138.95(V16),148.125]
UHF[238.2(MAINT),262.0(OPS),290.4(TWR),300.125,348.6(GRND),370.85(A/D)]
[377.15(A/D),379.2(A/D)]

141.7 - Mussel flight coordination
251.45 - HOT MIKE Salty Dog testing
256.5 - Aircraft clg Baywatch 12/29
323.00 - VA ANG
286.20 - Warren Grove PA range
Blue Air and Red Air freqs reversed (12/30)

Now I've developed .csv files formatted for other scanners which should be importable into Excel or as a Works spreadsheet, as well as other applications with a little editing. Scan Control users can go
to the Scan Control Yahoo group at:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ScanControl/

and download files formatted for the 780 and 895. Use Scan Control's upgrade ability to change the files for the digital trunktrackers.

These files can be found in the RadioReference DC forum under 'Combat Air Patrol Frequency Files', and in the files section of the following Yahoo groups:

MD_Scan:         http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MD_scan/
Scan-Hagerstown: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Scan-HagerstownMD/
Southern Md.Scanner Forum:  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SouthernMDScannerForum/

The files are laid out as follows;
milairdc.csv csv data dump from the milair dc file from ARC250

milair780.csv csv data dump from Scan Control; memories are formatted for the 780, and since it seems to have a similar layout, the 898t

milair895.csv csv data dump from Scan Control for the BC895 and PRO2052. Since neither radio can handle receiving the VHF milair freqs in AM, this bank is dropped, but includes everything else

capfreq.fss This is a Radiomax file that contains everything (except the Have Quicks) in 1 file. Although the extension doesn't say it, it really is a csv file, and has been checked in Excel and Works spreadsheet. It's suggested that Radiomax users edit the file and drop the first record, which is a title line, before loading it.

havequick.fss The missing Have Quicks, in the Radiomax .fss (really .csv) format.

 As is the case in the milair world, users and callsigns change constantly, so be sure to watch these lists for updates.

Enjoy!   73s Mike
