Well, today was a bust. I got a total of 14 hits while scanning about =
150
freqs. Only had audio on 4 of the freqs. Weather up here has been lousy. =
I
read somewhere that rain on shingles will attenuate signals when working
with attic mounted antennas, could have played a factor today.
226.3
I brief transmission, nothing gained
315.3
I have been working this one for a while. All comms have been broken &
garbled. Most comms reminded me of a likely image of an FM VHF freq. I =
was
online today with NIGHTWATCH who suggested 157.65 is a likely CAB freq. =
I
brought up PERCON and ran a search fro this freq in MD and lo & behold =
it
comes back to Patuxent Cab Company whose base isn't not more than 2 =
miles
from me and their cabs probably come by/through my neighborhood quite =
often.
This having been said I am pretty sure the garbage I have been copying =
has
been this Cab Co. I am gonna keep playing with this freq as is for a bit
longer as Oceana Radio states it is also possible that this freq could =
be
from an outfit in the VA Beach area. So I don't want to give up on it =
quite
yet.
138.1
I transmission, Aircraft likely talking with ground station, thanking =
them
for their help. I have heard weak transmissions of what appeared to be =
ATC
related comms on this freq. IFR SUPP has as BRADLEY APP/DEP for WESTOVER =
up
in MA. From what I have seen through my own searches this seems to be =
the
most likely candidate thus far considering ATC comms are used. I'll keep =
on
working it though.
142.35
PAT 034 calling Unknown OPS with ETA of 35 minutes, negative PAX =
drop-off.
Freq comes back as SIMMONS AAF (FT. BRAGG) BASE OPS. Not out of the =
question
for me as I have confirmed their UHF BASE OPS freq already. But I'd like =
to
catch something a little better in the comms before jumping on that ID.
