You would need a BDA (Bi-Directional Amplifier (or it's own repeater
system)) and Radiax designed for the frequencies you want coverage for =
in a
tunnel. The Radiax is "leaky coax" that is strung throughout the tunnels =
and
picks up and radiates RF about 20-30' off the entire length.
The Underground's radio system is setup this way but not the Police.

I know my Verizon cell phone works in the Metro and I can hear Metro
operations on two VHF freqs with my Kenwood HT but I wonder if the MPD's
