Well NBC4 just ran a story about how the DC public safety communication
system compeleted an upgrade so that firefighters could communicate in the
tunnels. They had video of Mayor Williams at a news conference talking on a
Motorola to FF riding a train in the tunnels on the Orange line. PD wasn't
mentioned but the F/R system has the ability to affiliate MPD talk groups so
it may work for them too.
