MPD radios don't work in the Metro. The only way to communicate in the
tunnels is to advise a Station Manager that an MPD officer is entering the
station and hope that they can get a Metro Transit officer to come to the
location.

MPD radios are set up to receive and transmit on MTPD channels and all
other local agency channels but the frequency bridge has not been enabled.
When all DC agencies come on board with MPD in using digital trunked,
cross communication will be significantly improved. Right now an MPD
officer can't even advise Park Police "Eagle" where to look on the ground
without speaking to MPD dispatch who in turn has Park Police landline.
