[Scan-DC] Snowplows in NoVA

Not quite so simple. Each district uses a different PL. 47.04 as used by
Safety Service Patrols uses 114.8. Occasionally they also use 47.30, also
114.8. Fauquier - Madison, Culpeper, etc., areas use 47.34 with a PL of
110.9.

It should also be noted that VDOT Safety Service Patrols in Northern
Virginia also communicate on the State Police channels. Except in parts of
Loudoun County (47.08 - 110.9), essentially all other VDOT communications
in Northern Virginia are on NEXTEL. This includes the snow plows/salt
trucks. The contract snow plows/trucks operate on their own commercial
channels. Highway (Interstate and other) maintenance is performed by a
variety of contractors in Northern Virginia, including both construction
and maintenance. Most "small" jobs (e.g., pot hole repair) are done by
VDOT itself, while larger jobs are let by contract to a variety of
companies - Virginia Paving, Lighting Maintenance, Brothers Contracting,
Woodlawn Contracting, Shirley Contracting to name a just a few.
