I've heard this said before, and that they returned previously allocated
800 MHz frequencies to the FCC.
It seems that only MSP has the common sense to avoid being suckered into
an 800 MHz trunked system. Bravo! An agency that actually understands
that VHF (especially VHF-lo) can reach good distances without the need
for cell towers every few miles.
