To just add a little more info to this thread. Only the PD has a helicopter,
two to be exact. They use the PD or FD talkgroups on the Fx Co digital
trunked system to communicate. However with Fox 5, chopper 4, US Park, Va.
State, Aircare, Medstar, it's getting a little crowded flying around in Fx
County. You may want to add the following frequencies that the pilots use to
communicate with each other.
123.025 - helicopter unicom
123.050 - helicopter to hospital comms
There is a 3rd air to air frequency that I can't place my hnds on right this
moment but it's close to the two I just posted. Anyway listening to these
will also aid you in knowing what's going on especially when you see 2 or
more helicopters in the same area.
