1. U.S. COAST GUARD:

In the mid 1300 hour CG 41359 (41-ft utility boat) reported to Station Curtis 
Bay (157.175) that they were headed to anchorage # 5 for unspecified 
training. Later in the afternoon 41359 assisted local police and fire rescue craft in 
recovering a drowned person in the Chesapeake Bay.

In the late 1800 hour USCGC James Rankin (WLM-555, Baltimore) informed 
Activities Baltimore (157.15) that they had completed their patrol and were morring 
and securing radio guard.

In the mid 1900 hour CG Station Annapolis (157.05) working with CG 212045 
advising them that they have a report of a disabled johnboat drifting towards 
Sandy Point, near the Bay Bridge. CG 212045 apparently located the craft as 
Station Annapolis asked them to pass the boat's location on to the Dept of Natural 
Resources police.

2. U.S. CUSTOMS:

Extensive encrypted comms on 165.2375 throughout the day.

In the late 1400 hour unit 1India 983 (probable Baltimore Harbor unit) 
informed Sector (165.2375 PL 100.0) that he had finished inspecting the boat (not 
further identified) and that they could release the boat.

In the early 1500 hour units 1India 965 and 1India 983 were in comms checks 
(165.2375 PL 100) in the clear.

In the early 1700 hour EDT, Blackcat (probable UH-60) was working with Spider 
21 flight (F-16s) and Huntress (NEADS) as Spider 21 was establishing their 
CAP over the DC area.

In the mid 2000 hour Thor (Customs DC Area controller) was working (282.425) 
with Omaha 3 (UH-60 Blackhawk) advising Omaha 3 that he was 10-8 but they 
didn't have him on their radar. Omaha 03 (female pilot) then came up on 165.2375 
advising Thor that hey were 10 miles south of DCA (Reagan National) patrolling 
the Potomac River area.

In the early 2100 hour Omaha 03 advised Thor (165.2375) that they were near 
davison AAF, operations were normal and they were RTB Reagan National. At 2125 
Omaha 03 advises Thor (165.2375) that they are 10-7 at DCA.

3. FBI:

In the 1600 hour Ross 599 (Cessna 172), under the control of Potomac 
departure (125.65) established a surveillance pattern over the Washington DC area.

4. Civil Air Patrol:

Probable Civil Air Patrol Cessna 172 (N??79P) working w/Patuxent River NAS 
Bay Watch control (119.275) for photo missions at 4,000 ft in restricted areas 
R-4005 & R-4007. Mentions that they are working with another unspecified ground 
station as part of their mission.

CAP Flight 9974 (probable Cessna 172, Middle East Region, Congressional Sqdn) 
landed at Andrews (118.4) in the late 1800 hour.
