[Scan-DC] video scanner questions

John made a reference to his video scanner in an earlier post and I am =
interested in peoples experiences.  I am a race fan and wonder the =
applications and experiences of others.  I am also a scanning and photo =
fan and often attend demonstrations a incident scenes.  Will a video =
scanner allow me to view downlinks from the news and dc area police =
copters?  How is the quality? I have seen some information that they =
will not pick up security cameras is this true?  What else do they not =
pick up?   All answers are appreciated and would love to hear users =
first hand answers as well as what else people use them for.
