Well...it's MARS, but it's not Air Force MARS, right?  I copy the ID as
AAA3MD/R, which would make it Army, (which, I guess, a machine at Ft. Meade
would be).  Navy MARS used to have a repeater with an output above the upper
end of 2 meters, though I don't remember the freq.  I think it was located
at the Hopkins Applied Physics lab near Columbia.

It's actually 143.990 output and it's a MARS repeater. It's located at Ft.
Meade. You must be a MARS member to use it. There are a few other MARS
repeaters in the DC area in the 142-144Mhz range, as well as HF freqs on DoD
freqs that MARS use.

Folks,
I keep getting audio of a repeater identifying on this freq. I can't seem to
find any useful info on the net about its usage.

Anybody have any thought on this one?
