Bill,
To get all the nations trunked frequencies go to http://www.trunkedradio.net
. You'll have to fill out a painless registration, but its all free. Once
in you'll find the systems organized by state and its a very complete site.
As for software, there are many different options out there. I believe from
all the various lists that I'm on that the most popular is from
http://www.butel.nl and is called ARC250 software. It will run on the BC250
and the BC785. There is another package which is a close second. That's
available at http://www.interplaza.com/bensware/products.htm .
There is other software available, but in my opinion the usability of it is
a little complicated and/or expensive. The two mentioned above are the most
user friendly. The Butel software is available in demoware or as a full
version for a reasonable price. The Ben Saladino software is shareware and
worth paying for.
I hope this help you.
