Why not get a dual mode (atleast) or tri-band phone? Most new calling plans throw in a decent, free or low cost dual mode phone. The new G3 phones & network (i.e. Verizon Express) are supposed to have superior sound quality and net access of 144kbs (close to low end DSL.) -Craig
