[Rover] What? HamIM interest but no GPS, Rovers?

I've heard from a few folks who would like to try HamIM next weekend but don't
want to deal with the complexity of interfacing one with their Rovers at this
late date (why do we all wait until the last minute?). :)
The solution is simple: setup like a home-station and MANUALLY update your
6-character grid-square as you move location! You get all the benefit of HamIM
(showing up on other's screens when you get to the hilltop and keyboard to
keyboard messaging) without the complexity of interfacing a GPS.
Visit the HamIM website (below) to read about it. All you need is a laptop, a
packet TNC (almost any will do) and the software shown on the website. It's not
rocket science... it's 'funner'. :)

PropNET: If the band is open and no one is TXing, does anyone hear it?
HamIM : Messaging the all-ham way, find Rovers as they go to play.
That HamIM, that HamIM -- I'm sure you'll like that HamIM.
