[Rover] Quadzilla prototype lives!

Well finally got the 2element prototype of quadzilla finished and on the air
this afternoon and made at least one contest QSO with K8GP for if nothing
else a whopping score of 1 in the contest.

I now see that weight might be a hinderence to this project as the prototype
on 20' of mast is a little hard to control freehanded and one-manned.
Looking at dropping back to a 4 or 5 element for the house instead of a 7
element monster. MAYBE!

SWR seems to be OK as the radio is giving me full 10watts output with no
problem. But listening mostly till I get the SWR tester from a friend of
mine to be sure. Then we will add on the 160watt amp. POWER - ARH  ARH  ARH
(insert grunts from Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor)

Was out playing but the rain chased me back inside for now.

Maybe some more later?
