[R-390] production numbers in general - LBAD

Regarding serial numbers and no doubt potential duplications, how did unitproperty book officers deal with receivers with the same serial numbers?

Consider the number of receivers manufactured, it might be unlikely a unit who had R-390 or R-390A receivers would have the same serial number,in each model, but it could happen.
Just curious?

 Hi group...

As I noted in my prior message, there is no way to account for what happens
to the various parts of an R-390A or non A once the receiver hits a depot.

I've read comments about what are considered re-manufactured receivers given
new serial tags, and while I've seen re-labelled PTO's reworked by Raytheon
and at Tobyhanna (sp?), I've never seen a replacement ID Tag after a
receiver has been re-manfactured...Are there any pics of examples of
these...?
