[R-390] Pinned Down - advice needed

Thanks to Barry, Mike, Steve, and Jim for your ideas and links.

I think I'm in a pickle. On the PTO gear train, the pin diameters are
estimated (a 1/16 drill bit shank is too large) at 3/64" and and 1/32". I
checked all the links provided and the thinnest diameter pin punch I could
find is 1/16". Barry suggested I use a finishing nail after squaring the
end. I will have to try that but I fear the metal in the nail is not up to
the task.

I just can't believe that Cosmos, the mfr of the ME-398/U, would have used
roll pins they knew were never coming out.

Really appreciate your responses...as usual, many hands pitch in to help!
:-)

My ham radio breakfast group, who saw the PTO, pins and all, up close this
AM, was quite surprised by the diminutive size of the pins. The consensus at
the table was either live with it or try to drill them out. I have some
really small drill bits I got for PCB work. Maybe with the drill
press.......

If anyone else has an idea, please chime in.

73,
Chris

Are they dowel pins or roll pins?

Here's some sources for pin punches for dowel pins:
