[R-390] First radio thread

I 1st got into SWL when I was a kid, w/a Grundig multiband portable. Then, I wheedled & cajoled my parents into a Sony CRF-230 for Christmas 1970. Had it all thru high school/college, kinda got out of things til '89 or so when I bought a DX-440 at a Ratshack...Started reading "PopComm", & saw ads for something called "Miltronix-R390A Sales/service"..Called Mr Mish, about 1/2 an hour later, a 1968 contract Dittmore-Friemuth was soon its way...Been downhill ever since. I HATE "Electric Radio", they've kept me broke for the last  umpteen years-Every time they feature another exotic set, I GOTTA get me one...(grin) The AR-60 that was the subject of the article in there ? Mine. The guy that did the article had it up for sale on You-Know-Where, I got it...I told my wife after I kick, if she takes my radidios to the street for the Garbagemen to get, I'll come back & Haunt her...Booo !!...Mbwahahahahaha...-Sandy
