[R-390] R390...and a bedside radio..

I think we all have to go there at some point John. I often worry about
what my wife would do with all this heavy stuff if I should meet an untimely
demise....or even a timely one at some point. I'll turn 50 on the 22nd so I
have a few years yet to worry too much about it but she would surely be in a
mess with all the stuff I have rat holed.

I am impressed with the fact that you guys can get away with having a
boatanchor next to the bed to play with before sleep. I love my wife and
she is very tolerant of my boat anchor hobbies....as long as I keep them out
of the house. I expect as the kids go out into the world on their own in
the next 5 to 8 years I will move a few pieces into the house into one of
the kids bedrooms turned radio shack. But there will never by an
opportunity to have them in the bedroom....she complains about the small
pile of magazines and books next to the bed that I read before
sleep....radio and electronics related stuff....and besides once I make it
to bed I usually can't stay awake for more than a few minutes so not much
need I guess at this point.....

Might get away with something small and modern bedside as long as there are
no wires strung all over the place...

I think they all think we are a bit crazy anyway.....with our love of these
old radio's

My wife says I'm having an affair....with all the ladies in the shop...I
speak of them as ladies...most times, depending on what kind of troubles I
am having out of one or another...then there are other names used....HA!

Cecil....
