This process is exactly what I have been using for the articles and 
projects I am putting on the GB website.

It takes me about an hour to do a 4 to 5 page article with 
photos/diagrams. The file size averages about 100 KB per page, 
although some, with few or no photos, are only about 50 KB as a .PDF.

I would imagine that there are other methods that can make them a bit 
smaller.
