Off the record!
my suggestion is send them to Cecil Acuff. He has made up the extender 
cables to really work on them and just recently repaired a couple of mine 
and they work great. I feel his work is very reasonable considering the 
challenge on working on them. I'm sure he'll give you a guestimate also.
