[R-1051] Synthesizer Questions

If only I knew! The other modules in the non-working radio have been 
verified for function in working radios. The non-working six packs have 
been placed in working radios to ensure they are the issue.

I wish I could be more specific then "they don't work". I've checked most 
of the xtal oscillators. I've checked waveforms where I can. I've had a 
known good one operating alongside a bad one and attempted to find some 
point of departure.

I have found and fixed some problems with the interconnecting connectors, 
but this wasn't enuff.

The difficulty is getting at some of the test points, and the almost 
complete lack of useful information in the "service" manual.

When I get to the point where I can answer your question more usefully, 
I'll email again.
