[QSL-Managers] Advice needed: SWL card with weird QSO data

Hello Christian,

DE3HRF is a one of the dedicated listeners..had several cards from the
station.

It is I suppose all too easy for people to make things up but a very quick
check on the net shows nothing that could be used so it is likely that the
claim is genuine particularly if the data quoted ties in with a log book. As
for the report, a pre-amplifier might give such results?

At the same time I would keep note of the incident and check any future
claims for similarity and then perhaps ask questions of the station. Perhaps
with the return card, express an interest in the /MM (where he was etc) and
see what comes back.

I think I understand your position here, I would be questioning the
incidents in my own mind too. However, when you look at the level of
cheating which goes on in our hobby and the non interest shown by others it
is probably not worth concern. After all, if the claim really is false, the
station is only cheating himself and will be found out in time.

Very best regards,

Doug, MM0BJA, Glasgow
