Hi Jon,

Sri, no recommendation on this. It also depends on what type of printer
you have since not all of them can handle "thick" paper easily. No
experience myself.

SJ> I haven't received the log yet but he was hoping for a 4.5 - 5k QSO effort,
SJ> any recommendations to the number of QSL's to order? Guess to ratio of
SJ> direct vs. bureau requests to expect?

I don't think direct/bureau ratios really matter, at least never to me. My
experience is that 30-50% is requested. The longer you "keep the logs" (you
should keep and confirm the Qs "forever"), you may get more than 50%. My TF
logs are up to 60%, after > 4 years. It depends on rarity.
Then, it depends also on whether you plan to submit to LOTW. If so, this
will reduce the needed amount of QSLs as well. By how much? Yet
unpredictable.

SJ> Tips for exchanging / handling IRC's?

Well, any post office should exchange them. If you got too many, you may
sell them them.

SJ> Anyone noticed/have thoughts about how LOTW is affecting QSL requests? I
SJ> realize it is probably way too early to tell but was wondering if anyone had
SJ> thoughts about this. Anyone using/not using it?

Read above.
