[QCWA Hotlist] Chapter Officers Please Take Note

Greetings all.  Since November 1, 2012 I have issued 42 QCWA Chapter 
Meritorious Service Awards.  There was only one in 2012, owing to my 
starting late in the year.  In 2013 there were 15 of these awards, and 
in 2014 there were 20.  In 2015, as of November 10, there have been only 
6 requests for the QCWA Meritorious Service Award, awarded to Chapter 
members who have provided notable service to their Chapter, and to 
Amateur Radio in general,  as a result of that service.

Each QCWA Chapter may recognize one such individual each year.  In 2015, 
Chapters 8, 17, 28, 29, 106, and 119 have submitted requests to honor a 
Chapter member.

Time is short to make such requests and get certificates prepared and 
returned to the Chapter before the inevitable Christmas Holiday 
meetings, usually significant events in the Chapter year. Those special 
event meetings are often used as a base for Chapter Awards, and National 
awards from QCWA should fit rather nicely into your program.  Photos 
should be taken and sent to the Journal (journal at qcwa.org) so that all 
of us may share in the congratulations extended to the award recipient.

If you officials of QCWA Chapters will put your heads together and come 
up with a deserving candidate from your Chapter and send that nomination 
to me forthwith I will do my level best to get your certificate to you 
in time for your event.  Please let me know when your celebration is 
scheduled.  And if it is not already scheduled, then please get busy and 
schedule something.  The members of your Chapter deserve the fellowship 
and the opportunity to celebrate the good efforts of the award winner.
