Hi Larry,
1. Do you have any idea of what the membership fee for an associate will
be?
2. Do you have a list of benefits or perks that an associate can use and
enjoy?
3. Do you know what an associate can and can not do and do you know why
anyone would want to be an associate?
4. Have you polled any possible associate members and asked them what
they would expect from the QCWA?
5. Do you believe that an associate, after 5, 10, 15, or 20 years of
being an associate will really want to be a full member? If so, please
explain.
6. Has anyone done a poll of possibible associate members to find out
just what they would expect from the QCWA during the next 5, 10, 15 or 20
years?
7. Do you know if QCWA Hq has any idea of what they will do with an
associate member for the next 5, 10, 15 or 20 years?
8. Do you know if there is a QCWA special committee that has answers to
any of these questions?
9. Do you know that this issue has been already discussed by a QCWA
committee and the results are negative for associate memberships?
10. Do you think it is a good idea to have to change the original name of
the QCWA to be "Associates and certified members by tenure as an amateur
radio opeartor of at least 25 years since initial licensing"?
11. Do you think that the founders of our organization would be proud of
current management changing the rules of entry from 25 years to just a
week or so of being an amateur radio operator?
12. Do you think there is a possibility of the credibility of our
organization being harmed and laughed at by the whole world of amateur
radio operators?
Larry, please tell me the thoughts of your chapter members and explain to
me, upon my deaf ears and possibly blind eyes, just why this issue is so
appealing and worthwhile that the basic premise of our organization
should change? I really want to know the over-powering reasons for a 15
to zero decision came from Chapter 190.
Thanks for your time and your report Larry.
