And a total embarrasemnt to the fraternity.

What is it with you people. How long have you been like this? Were you
perfect when
you born? Did somebody take a dump in your oatmeal this morning? Did you know
everything about amateur radio as soon as your license arrived in the mail?
Were
you sending a perfect 30 WPM code and receiving 45 WPM from the very
beginning?

Your attitude is appalling. Quit yer bitching and finding fault and do
something to make
the "new guys" better at their craft if that's what pisses you off so much.

To the others, I'm sorry, but THIS is what's wrong with amateur radio these
days. It's
not the new guys. It's the old guys that refuse to help them become what they
can be.

Oh, and just so you don't think I wasn't paying attention, would somebody
care to explain
the "Morse code makes you a better person" thing to me again? Why was it when
there
was still a minimum 13 WPM requirement for a license with HF privileges that
the top end
of both 40 and 80 meters was such a cesspool? Those characters certainlly
weren't ALL
CB'ers, no-code techs and bootleggers.
