    I have similar feelings as yours.

    The activity on the local repeaters in most places is practically
nil.  It is largely because of how a number of more experienced hams
feel about the situation.

    I was opposed to elimination of the code requirement.  It was a
means by which to earn a license along with the really good theory and
regulations testing.

    However, we have to deal with the hand we've been dealt.
