[QCWA] suggestions to the board,etc

I have seen MANY posts with this subject but have seen nothing real and
concrete. This is symptomatic of some of the problem.
My experiences probably are typical, and indicate that organizational
death is probably near.
I am 78, and was first licensed as a novice in 1952- I lapsed twice, but
came back. I (early years) looked up to the QCWA. After my last
re-entry, I joined.
I did not renew my membership, for more reasons than is healthy for the
group.
Except for the notice that I was now a member, I never heard from
anyone, and was never invited to join any chapter.
This area (Near Huntsville, AL) has about the highest ham density of ANY
area in the world- it is very Tech oriented, but there is no QCWA
chapter here- there must be a reason. There many here who qualify.
Most of the chatter on this reflector is trivial nostalgia; Nostalgia
is OK, but there must be more to QCWA than that. Most of the nostalgia
tends to be insignificant repeats of who was stationed where and
trained where in the Signal Corp, or remembrances of early CW copying
skills.
To add to this, what is apparently an attempt to start a cure is being
covered up. I have seen MANY posts about some mysterious "14
Suggestions" but it is being swept under the rug like some deep, dark
secret. Open the discussion, or shut up!

Unless QCWA changes, it will soon be dead. If it dies, I will mourn, a
little.
Bill
