Just recently I have been receiving over one hundred spam messages a day,
most of them addressed to N5VD. I wondered how in hell did they get my call
letters? Now I know. This having to clear out this amount of spam daily is
one pain in the butt.

form until about four years ago for any member to use, read, sell to
others, or whatever. With the advent of CD's, it is now available in
that format to any member for a small fee. In spite of the warning that the
list is for internal use by members only, there is no way that a tracer
can be put on any member who chooses to sell that CD to an advertiser, the
warning be damned. The whole FCC database is available to anyone with a
computer, and QCWA is small potatoes in comparison. Don't blame QCWA for
the proliferation of spam. Put the pressure on the Federaal Trade
Commission where it will (maybe) do some good.
