Not quite correct Joe.

CW was not "outlawed"........because of the advent of much faster modes and
one of the requirements being "speed" in handling of traffic it was just
dropped in favor of the digital modes.

In fact, the military establishment dropped CW from its tactical shopping
bag many years ago........for similar reasons and today you will find most
of the tactical communications is done via wireless laptops.

There are in fact still CW operators in the military that are part of the
ASA, NSG etc who deal with signal intelligence matters.  They are all
trained at a consolidated school for all branches.

MARS is one thing......amateur radio is another.  CW still lives......just
look at the tremendous activity this past weekend during the CQWW contest.

Joe.......I'll be happy to keep a sked with you on CW and see if you still
have the old touch.....ZOK?
