[Premium-Rx] Help with WJ-8711 and WJ-8712 switches A2S1 and A2S2

All,

I have two WJ-8711-1 and two WJ-8712-1 radios.

I've just spent the evening fixing them (various minor faults) and 
trying to get RCS32 (3.06.00) to talk to them with no luck, I can't get 
ERGO-4 to talk to them either.

I have all the switches on A2S1 "up" and all the switches on A2S2 "up" 
-- is that the correct setting for RS232 (not CSMA) at 9600 baud?

I assume that the 25-way D-type is wired as a DCE, i.e.:

     Pin 2 (TXD) is an input
     Pin 3 (RXD) is an output
     Pin 7 (GND) is ground

... anything else I need to know?
