Hi Chas and all the other list members,
I've just discovered that the STC Marine / Vigilant SR-500 is also a Debeg
2051, and the manual is available on the Mods.DKwebsite.
I wonder if it goes by any other names as well....
I traced the fault on my "working" Ebay unit to a U/S 1Mhz crystal on the
reference oscillator PCB, combined with a previous owners attempt at
modifying the input attenuator having shorted the antenna input to GND. It
certainly attenuated the input signals alright :-)
So thanks again for all the help, and at least if anyone else is looking for
a copy of said manual in the future We'll be able to point them in the right
direction.
Cheers,
Dave.S.
